Stortford Icebow


A couple of photos taken by Mike Ashworth:

"They were taken this afternoon from our patio.

This is some sort of 'icebow', an arc of refracted light produced by ice crystals in cirrus cloud.

Definitely an arc and not a halo. Wikipedia lists several types.
